Company OverviewThe organisation was originally established in 2006 as TGB Civil, where Denis Twomey laid the foundations of a civil works company specializing in infrastructure installation, plant hire and contract labour for the Sydney Metropolitan and Central Coast regions.
He assembled a well-balanced team to deliver quality and cost effective services for projects that varied in both scope and complexity. Our commitment to safety and the environment without compromising in quality invariably resulted in several successfully completed projects. The reputation of the quality of service TGB Civil provided lead to the company’s exponential growth, and as a result, TGB & Son was established in 2012 to focus on infrastructure installation, concreting, saw cutting and core drilling services. TGB & Son has a team of 10 full-time employees, not including TGB Civil staff and sub-contractors. Armed with their knowledge of excavation techniques and the high standards of quality and safety we require on job sites, our reputation within the industry is credited to the hard work and dedication of our experienced staff. Our crew leaders have between 5 to 10 years experience in managing project sites and operating civil engineering equipment. In line with the growing demands to develop NSW’s infrastructure, TGB & Son has invested in its resources to meet international standards and upgraded its fleet of plant and equipment in preparation to participate in upcoming diverse projects. |

Cable InstallationTGB specialises in the installation of underground high voltage electricity cables. We provide a comprehensive transmission and distribution cable service ranging from 1kV to 132kV from planned upgrades to emergency repair.
Our experience has been acquired across a range of projects from simple street installations, open trench projects to tunnel installations. We employ various techniques and methodologies depending on the circumstances that assist in our intention to complete works with minimal interruption and to return the road back to the public as soon as possible. Our professionalism and ability to deliver on time and within budget have seen TGB grow from being subcontractors to some of the major players in the industry to securing a contract with Ausgrid for the provision of underground distribution cable laying and related works. All of our crew members have a white card in electrical training and are WHS compliant. We pride ourselves in providing qualified crews for all situations. Plant HireTGB offers machine and operator hire for short term contracts. Our machines are well maintained and operators are there on time every time.
